Before we ship the plastic mould to customer,we use this document to validate the plastic mould quality.Normally,customer attend the validation procedure together with us and sifn off after checking.Here,we list some of checking items in common use:
(Ⅰ)Compatibility with injection machine to be used
♦Is weight of the plastic mould correct?
♦Is size of the plastic mould (lengthxwidthxheight)correct?
♦Are dimensions of locating ring correct?
♦Is clamping feature correct?
♦Is radius and orifice diameter of sprue bush correct?
♦Are lifting eyebolts fully seated on the plastic mould and not interfering with mould action?
♦Are all transportation bars installed and in correct color as customer request?
♦Are knock-out holes for mechanical ejection and the layout correct as designed?
♦Is electric box wired correctly as per injection machine standard?
♦Is the plastic mould construction compatible with robot gripping if applicable to take off part?
( Ⅱ )Injection system
♦Is cavity filling balanced?
♦Estimation of the possible cycle time or validation of the cycle time as customer request.
♦Are vents included and open as per mould design?
♦Are wires protected well and in correct position as designed?
♦Have all gates dimensions on mult-cavity tools been corrected and recorded?
(Ⅲ)Cooling system
♦Are waterlines marked by IN or OUT with numbers according to mould design?
♦Are all waterlines clean,unobstructed and do they permit a full circuit flow?
♦Is there water leakage?
♦Is each of water circuit working separately as designed?
(Ⅳ)Mould steels and heat treatment
♦Is and welding used on mould?Is welding process correct for the steel used?
♦Have all mould plates been stamped with markings(plate number,steel type and hardness)
♦Are moving parts(e.g.sliders and lifers))nitrided?Provide nitride certificate.
♦Provide the heat treatment certificate and hardness for all applicable mould components(parting line protection plates,angle location plates and so on)
(Ⅴ)Ejection and its guidance system
♦Is ejection system(ejectors,lifters and slides.etc) of good function and moving freely?
♦Are all ejector pins and mounting holes numbered?
♦Validation of effective ejection stroke for proper taking of part.
♦Are guiding parts in lubrication?
♦Is there oil leakage?
♦Is side core system(e.g.lifers,slides and ejector pins,etc) in good guidance?
♦Is guide pin vented?
♦Is length of return pin correct?
(Ⅵ)Sever control sysetm for hydraulic,Pneumatic device if applicable
♦Does it have limit switches for slide on top of mould?
♦Does it have limit switched for ejection plates as customer request?
♦Are limit switches wiring been done per design?
♦Are all wires protected well,especially at corners?
♦Are electrical connections compatible with injection machine?(Hot runner system,hydraulic ejection,side-core activated by hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder).
♦Have hydraulics and pneumatics been tested and do they work properly at operating pressures?
(Ⅶ )Mould identification
♦Is mould ID plate fitted?
♦Are mould components painted in correct color as customer request?(support feet,transportation bars and connection,etc.)
♦Are all external identification plates fitted(cooling,hydraulics,electrics,etc.)
♦Is part engraving details done as designed?
( Ⅷ)Mould accessories
♦Is insulation plates fitted on the mould if applicable?
♦Are spare parts provided as per the agreement between customer and mould maker?
♦Is a complete mould technical document provided?
