After pre-design finished,the mould design should continue to finish the full design.Normally,it includes the following information:
♦Is parting lines finalized?
♦Gating details.Conformity to mould flow anaysis if applicable.
♦Part ejection structure and analysis,such as lifter in ejection forward position.
♦Cooling system (water lines) with connector.Show dimensions of water channels diameter and distance.
♦Hydraulic system with connectors.
♦Mould components(stop buttons,pillar supports,ejector guides,return pins and so on).
♦A completed B.O.M including mark number,component name,size,standard,quantity,heat treatment or surface treatment(nitride).
♦Electrical schematics.
♦Hydeaulic schematics.
♦Hot runner manifold system schematics or drawings
♦Limit switch schematics.
♦Sections on all core inserts and cavity inserts.
In there,gating details shows all dimensions of cold runner and gare or hot sprue directly gating on the part.This is very important information for part formation including pressure,time and material volume,especally for big and complex parts or critical parts.Therefor,it is good way to make mould flow analysis with proper database.
All kinds of schematics are made for the final user of this mould.It presents the regulation of mould cooling,mould movements sequence and electrical system in proper function compatible to injection machine.
The full design is used for 3D mould model creation and development.It will be validated by customer before mould manufacturing,And when customer approve the full mould design,mould maker shall start programming the cutter path,pruchasing mould components and all machining process.Each modification shall be involved in an updated version of mould model referring to mould manufacturing.
Full design approved by customer doesn’t relive mould maker responsibility to provide a proper mould function or part quality.
